FASHION - A FAMILY AFFAIR.

Their names; Sekayi and Tukiya Fundafunda, commonly known as Kahyi and Kii. Who are they? MaFashio - Zambian Fashion Bloggers, Fashion Consultants, Wardrobe Stylists, Makeup Artists, ‘Thrift Junkies’ and above all; Sisters. Why should you know them? Well, because they are one of the country’s highly acclaimed, self made fashion brands, and… You just can not afford not to be in the know!

‘MaFashio’, as subtly hinted by the name, is a play on a colloquial Zambian terminology used to refer to a style of dressing that is deemed edgy/vogue or even sometimes over the top, as stated by the sisters.

“MaFashio seeks to be the 'go-to' place for Zambian fashion enthusiasts, housing everything from our personal style to the awesome industry events we attend, the style mavens we come across and the beautiful places our stylish little feet.”

Not so long ago, MaFashio did their country proud by being featured on CNN’S AFRICAN VOICES, a show that showcases Africa’s most innovative. In November 2016, Sekayi Fundafunda was one of 10 individuals from around the world named one of Fashion's Future VOICES, by Topshop and The Business of Fashion. Topshop is a British multinational fashion retailer of clothing, shoes, make-up and accessories with 500 shops worldwide, and BOF is a global Fashion Analysis and Business Intelligence firm, it is the leading digital authority on the global fashion industry. The sisters have also been featured in multiple prominent publications, including ‘OkayAfrica’, a digital media platform dedicated to African culture, music and politics.

Since their Debut, Kahyi and Kii have attained a number of awards such as; Zambia Fashion Week award for 'Best Fashion Blog 2014', the Zed Blog and Social Media awards for 'Best Fashion Blog 2014' and 'Best Photography 2014', and also Featured in the 2015 edition of Gareth Bentley's 'Extraordinary Zambia' book.

You can see that the girls have come a long way since blogging; Lusaka street style in 2012. MaFashio has immensely grown into a brand that provides creative solutions for members of the Zambian fashion industry as well as novices.

Aside from fashion, their other passions include giving back to the community.
